| Belfast was the finishing port of the Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge, with ships completing over 7,000 nautical miles. Around 800,000 people crowded the city's docks for the biggest event ever staged on the island of Ireland. This included 100,000 holiday-makers who visited the city especially for the event. Entertaining the crowd was Ireland's best, Eamonn McCrystal who sang live for U105 (UTV's Belfast based radio station Eamonn's set included songs like Van Morrison's Moondance, Red Sails In the Sunset, and You Raise Me UpĀ to name a few |
